Stanley Park Open tennis tournament enters final weekend

Weekend matches feature action in the senior, open and National Tennis Rating Program brackets.

This year’s run of the Stanley Park Open is winding down the home stretch.

The 85th annual tennis tournament will feature matches on both Friday and Saturday, with action slated in the men’s, women’s and doubles draws.

Matches scheduled for today (Friday, July 15) will be played in the senior, open and National Tennis Rating Program brackets.

Having kicked off on July 1, the annual tourney is North America’s largest public-court competition and features 1,500 players ranging in age from eight to 85.

The tournament prize purse is $15,000 and 295 prizes will be awarded.

All matches are being played at the Stanley Park public tennis courts, and admission is free.
