For 10th year, 鶹ýӳCanadians help families in need celebrate Thanksgiving

Baseball club partners with Save-On-Foods and Salvation Army to feed thousands since 2007

For the 10th year, the 鶹ýӳCanadians will help 100 families enjoyt Thanksgiving dinner at home by providing them with a turkey for their holiday meal.

Partnering with the Salvation Army and Save-On-Foods, the baseball club will distribute the turkeys on Wednesday to families in need.

“The 鶹ýӳCanadians are excited to keep this long-standing tradition alive," said Canadians general manager JC Fraser in a statement. "We hope that we can make the holidays a little brighter for families around Vancouver."

Families are selected by the Salvation Army. 

Over the past decade, the C's have given out close to 1,000 family-sized turkeys since the first “Canadians Thanksgiving” in 2007.
