26th annual Trout Lake elementary school x-country meet: In pictures

More than 3,100 young runners took to the course

The rain held off for most of the day until the clouds opened over John Hendry Park and soaked the already muddy and trampled race course.Ìý

Not that a little weather could hold back these elementary school runners as 3,184 children competed in the 26th annual district cross-country meet around Trout Lake Oct. 20.

The largest races were the two Grade 4 classes with 344 boys and 304 girls. A total of 1,698 girls ran and 1,486 boys.
