The breathtaking 2019 PNE Prize Home was unveiled in the morning on Wednesday, May 8 just after Playland opened for the season.
The 85th annual PNE Prize Home Lottery features a luxurious 3,159 square-foot home that that will be relocated to Kelowna, B.C. after the 2019 fair.
The three bedroom and 2.5-bath prize home is considered a “Net Zero Ready” home – it is able to produce as much as it consumes. What’s more, it features high-performance windows and doors as well as better insulated walls that can reduce electricity use by up to 80 per cent, reduce allergens and asthma triggers and even minimize outside noise.
Additionally, the home features a gourmet kitchen, complete with pantry and separate prep kitchen, top-of-the-line trendy indoor furniture from Yaletown Interiors, and state-of-the-art KitchenAid and Whirlpool appliances from Coast Appliances.
“The PNE Prize Home is such a popular feature of the Fair and longstanding tradition, it is always exciting to see what the designers assemble each year,” says Shelley Frost, President and CEO Pacific National Exhibition.
“We are certain the public will be equally as pleased with this year’s grand prize package and want to ensure they not only tour the home during the Fair but have their tickets for the draw as well.”
Valued at over $2 million, the prize home lottery package includes: a robotic lawn mower, the Automower®, by Husqvarna, which comes with additional battery-powered yard equipment, and a Coast Spas Lifestyles outdoor living package that includes a deluxe hot tub and gazebo.
Members of the public are able to get sneak previews of the home as well. Public on-site viewing times are as follows:
