A Port Coquitlam resident taking her first run for a city council seat will host a public forum to talk about the housing crunch in the Tri-Cities.
Priscilla Omulo is organizing the event that will hear from speakers from the Atira Women’s Resource Society and Kwikwetlem First Nation as well as an urban planner, realtor, housing advocate and health research.
The forum is on July 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Michael Wright Art Gallery, in Leigh Square Community Arts Village (next to PoCo city hall).
“From lack of supply and affordable options to demo-victions, the problem grows every day and so do the number of people affected by this crisis,” Omulo said in a news release.
