A property in Oak Bay on Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Island that has twice been severely damaged by fire is .

It has been on the market for slightly more than 20 days, said Jenny Lu, one of the real-estate agents listing the property. She is part of a group called Team Victoria with Sutton West Coast Realty.

The current owner will be clearing the property. Crews were on scene Tuesday dismantling the building.

The 0.42-acre sloping lot, set amid an area of luxury homes, rises to provide views of McNeill Bay and Trial Island.

Firefighters were called to 57 Beach Dr. about 10:30 p.m. on June 3 to find the empty home — severely damaged from a previous fire in 2013 — engulfed in flames.

Oak Bay, Saanich and Victoria firefighters worked on the blaze for hours.

There was no power or natural gas service to the property so the fire was classified as suspicious by the Oak Bay Fire Department.

During the 2013 fire, a man and a dog escaped from the house. Since then, the site has changed owners three times.

The most recent owner had decided to rebuild and had taken out a building permit, Alan Lowe, the architect representing the homeowner, said earlier.

Between the two fires, Oak Bay officials fielded dozens of complaints from residents reporting suspicious activity and trespassing in the vacant building. Graffiti was painted onto walls.
