Re: "Teenage housing nightmare opens in Downtown Eastside," Sept. 21.
Thank you for this strong, realistic outcry. I especially appreciate Mark Hasiuk's deploring there being "no rigorous exit service" infrastructure for prostituted women. This is clearly unacceptable, and Mayor Robertson's feet-and that of city hall and provincial health and social services authorities-need to be held to the fire until the necessary political changes are brought about for this to become a priority.
As for the promoters of this "teenage housing nightmare," thank you Mr. Hasiuk for talking straight to those dolts and exposing their tactics.
