Re: "Wage war," Jan. 13.
I understand why the Fraser Institute believes an increase to the minimum wage is bad for business. I understand why the Canadian Federation of Independent Business claims an additional statutory holiday is bad for business. I understand why financial markets consider regulatory oversight as bad for business. I understand why the fiscal right regards taxation, regulations, wages and benefits as bad for business. I get it. I truly do.
What I don't understand is why we're discussing what's bad for business when we should be concentrating on what's good for people.
