Street vendors also need hygiene judge

It's great that the city has approved more street food vendors to make Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»a friendlier place to live and work and at the same time giving vendors a chance to make a decent living for themselves.

However, I question the panel of judges who approve them. Shouldn't the vendors be asked to be more hygiene-conscious when preparing the food we eat?

In the past, I've tried several of them (including fast food joints) and found that they don't use disposable gloves, face masks and/or hair nets when preparing our food as I have found a hair or two in my food. It's disgusting to say the least as I had to throw away my lunch and hard-earned money too. Also, I don't know if they had wiped their faces/noses during/ after the food preparation as they use their unclean hands to continue regardless. And they use the same cloth to wipe their hands and the counter too. Have they not heard about disposable wipes?
