To the editor:
Re: "Vancouver-based protest movement hitting home," Oct. 5.
Canadian corporations are currently sitting on roughly half a trillion dollars cash. None of this money is being used to invest in new businesses or new jobs. It will be used for acquisitions and mergers (creating further monopolies and high prices/profits) and for increasing CEO pay packets. Why, then, are federal and provincial governments cutting corporate tax? We need more, and more, protest.
