Hello Mike Howell:
The mayor is right. We do not need this potential for environmental disaster on our doorstep and yes it is only to enrich foreign economies with little or no economic benefit for Vancouver. I think that oil needs to be declared obsolete even before the reserves are depleted. As far as the risk of losing jobs is concerned, the more effort and resources that are poured into developing sustainable and nonpolluting sources of energy the better and this cannot happen too soon.
Ask Gregor again if you can be mayor for a day. Ya never know, the widow said.
