Re: "Ex-MLA Ilich on city's affordability team," Dec. 16.
It is heartening to see Gregor and Olga working hard to make housing more affordable in Vancouver. So the developers get an increased supply of land, less demanding building standards and an expedited application process. And in return the city gets more affordable housing. Hahaha-bonk! That was the sound of me laughing my head off. What the city will actually get is even more substandard housing (leaky condo anyone?) and an even higher profit margin for the developers.
