To the editor:

I read the tired and self-congratulatory ramble from Mayor Gregor Robertson with regard to tanker traffic in the channel. Then, further on, I read Geoff Olson's column where he writes (on another topic), "Once again, nebulous nightmares from above are being used to ratchet up public anxiety." Thanks, Mayor Robertson, for attempting to do just that.
