To the editor:
Notwithstanding the sentiments and efforts of individuals mentioned in the article, the ire of the B.C. Teachers Federation finally has had an impact-on the extracurricular activities of students in public schools. In particular, recent BCTF action (or disengagement?) has abolished the short season of girls softball games in which my daughter's high school participated. Will this latest BCTF vote and escalation convince our politicians to improve the quality and funding of education in B.C.? Will the provincial government now give the BCTF whatever its leaders want (for the benefit of the children)? Is the moon made of green cheese? Hello?
