Re: "Letters: Despite 'children' rhetoric, teachers strike about money," March 9.
Peter Van Rienen's pointed out the main factor which constitutes to the present deadlock standoff between the B.C.
Teachers' Federation and the provincial government. I totally agree with the reader's concluding words "if giving you more money solves this, then it's about money." The Teachers' Federation has long been at loggerheads with whichever party is running the province. Under such confrontational and irrational attitude and atmosphere neither sides are winners and the biggest losers are the students and the parents as they are constantly being hijacked as pawns and hostages on the negotiation table. "Money talks"-words of wisdom.
