Re: "Predictions for 2012: Year of the beluga," Dec. 28.

Thanks to Mark Hasiuk for tapping into his crystal ball and predicting that another beluga will die at the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Aquarium in 2012. However, considering that almost 40 whales and dolphins have already died there in about as many years as the aquarium has imprisoned whales... well, that wasn't much of a prediction after all. With only three be-luga whales and three dolphins still surviving, the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Aquarium unfortunately has already announced that they soon plan to double their inventory of whales and dolphins. It's been over a decade since the aquarium closed that orca whale tank due to public protest. Hopefully, Hasiuk's crystal ball will tell us when the beluga and dolphin display tanks will also be closed.
