Re: "Cycling coalition will follow green grant rules," Letters, June 29.
Will the cycling set ever be satisfied? Well, no. A few years ago, Mayor Gregor Robertson offered cyclists/the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Area Cycling Coalition (VACC) a $45 million bridge beside the Burrard Street Bridge for pedestrians and bike riders.
The VACC turned it down; it would not touch down exactly where the VACC wanted on the north side. So pedestrians lost.
As for the VACC keeping to the city's green grant rules: Would they and their ilk keep to the rules of the road and keep off the sidewalks?
I was almost run down three times last week. And twice by the same cyclist.
