To the editor:
Re: "Automobiles kill, drain and pollute," July 15.
Geoff Olson is delusional if he believes we'd be better off without cars. If he wants to return to the horse and buggy era be my guest, but don't forget all the horse droppings would be an unsightly and smelly pollutant.
As a courier driver, I depend on gas-powered automobiles to make my living. The van I drive and many other commercial vehicles quite literally drive our economy forward.
Olson should keep that in mind the next time he receives a package from UPS.
