Re: "Blaming Chinese for high house prices racist," April 6.
As a born-and-raised Vancouverite who is discouraged with house prices in this city, I appreciate you joining the conversation on affordability. However, I'm wondering if you can include a few more perspectives other than developers, planners and real estate agents. I'm skeptical as to whether they are truly invested in an affordable housing scene in Vancouver. What about the perspectives of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»renters? From my own experience of renting on the West Side for over 20 years, four out of the six houses were owned by nonresident Chinese. My story isn't hearsay or some racist conspiracy, and I question those who disregard the experiences of me and many others in favour of simply increasing supply.
