Laneway houses only part of city's woes

Re: "Laneway tour," Sept. 16.

After 35 years of paying taxes to build this city, we've been rewarded by having our streets closed off for years while they built the Cambie Line. Then our street was turned into a bike route and now 37th Avenue is a major speedway. A lane house, a story taller than our Oakridge special, is nearing completion behind my back fence. I now have four windows staring into my backyard and directly into my kitchen. Now someone in city hall is changing the zoning in our neighbourhood, which will bring extreme high density to our area. Now, as I step outside I'm overwhelmed by the sewage smell that floats by several times a week.
