To the editor:
The laneway housing program should be halted and revamped through neighbourhood-based planning to ensure appropriate locations and designs, with incentives to retain and disincentives to demolish existing homes. It is unfortunate that the Heritage Foundation is not advocating this, and has apparently been misled into supporting a program oriented to serve the interests of the building industry at the expense of heritage and other important values.
