Re: "Indian restaurant stares down city hall over facade," March 16.
Good luck to Mr. Reza on his scrap with the city's planning department over the new facade of his restaurant. To help him in this effort, he might point out to those city hall officials that the city should clean up its own act when it comes to facades.
The derelict-looking building on the SW corner of Broadway and Yukon is city-owned. Although the building has recently undergone some interior renovations and window replacement, its cracked and crumbling exterior, complete with holes, is an eyesore.
To add to this, the sidewalks surrounding it are usually awash in rubbish and leaves, as is the rest of the block up to 10th Avenue and along to Cambie.
