Public health officials are encouraging people to change the way they greet each other amid coronavirus (COVID-19) fears and people are doing just that.
A viral video has been circulating around social media showing men wearing masks in Asia and greeting each other by tapping their feet instead of shaking hands.
The greeting, known as the “Wuhan Shake,” – named after the city in China where the virus originated - made its global debut as an alternative handshake following announcements by health authorities to avoid handshakes and kissing.
Meanwhile, a Twitter post (below) by Walter Cotte has shared a cartoon of “handshake alternatives.”
