A woman had to be rescued from her flipped car after she was T-boned during Friday morning鈥檚 snowy commute.

Her car flipped onto its side this morning, around 8:30 a.m., on Railway Avenue, close to Colbeck Road, just south of Blundell Road.

Francis Ang, who witnessed the accident and called 9-1-1, said he helped the woman, who appeared to be in her early 20s, get out of the car.

In dash-cam footage submitted by Ang 鈥 who was driving north along Railway Avenue with his wife Joyce 鈥 a white van turning left from Colbeck Road collided with the black car, which was heading south, causing the black car to flip onto its side.

鈥淚 had to open the back (trunk) door for her to get out. I wasn鈥檛 able to open the side door for her so she had to crawl out through the back door,鈥 Ang told the Richmond News.

鈥淚t was scary, I鈥檓 still shaking.鈥

The woman appeared to have only minor injuries, according to Ang.

鈥淚 don鈥檛 think she was injured much,鈥 said Ang, who also called 9-1-1 to report the incident. 鈥淪he just had some shoulder and neck pain.鈥

According to Ang, the drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene until emergency services arrived.

The News has reached out to B.C. Emergency Health Services for more information.

As of 9:30 a.m., both lanes were open on Railway Avenue, with traffic moving slowly.
