While the Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­weather forecast calls for some rain later this evening, next week looks sunny and clear. 

Starting Thursday, Environment Canada is forecasting sunshine and a high of 8°C during the day followed by a 60 per cent chance of showers during the night. After that, Friday is expected to see a 30 per cent chance of showers during the day and cloudy skies overnight. 

Saturday's forecast calls for cloudy skies and a high of 5°C during the day and a chilly low of -3°C overnight. However, Sunday is expected to be sunny and clear with a high of 8°C during the day and a low of -2°C overnight. 

The sunny streak is expected to continue into next week, with the forecast calling for bright sunshine on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. What's more, Wednesday is expected to see a slightly warmer daily high of 11°C.

Spring is also expected to be slightly cooler than average this year in Vancouver, and the snow pack is thicker than normal. As such, there is a potential for flooding when the snow pack thaws if the weather is cool and wet in the Lower Mainland.
