East Side bodybuilder Linda Cusmano finished sixth out of 10 at the Canadian Fitness Championships last weekend in Saskatoon.
Competing in the short category (the fitness competition is not separated by weight or height), five-foot-two Cusmano finished top three in B.C. to earn a berth to the national meet. At 40, she is competing against a much younger field.
Cusmano was focused on winning best overall across all height categories to earn her professional card.
Judge and event promoter Harvey Viteychuk said he rewarded Cusmano for her well-rounded physique and fitness routine. I felt she was definitely one of the top competitors in the class. Usually what Im looking for is the overall package, as far as shape and proportion, symmetry along with conditioning.
