The incident on Lynn Valley Rd. in has now been resolved. One male was taken into custody by officers at the scene and the road has been reopened to traffic.

North 麻豆传媒映画RCMP have blocked off the main entrance to Lynn Valley as they deal with a potentially armed man barricaded in a home near William Avenue.
Around 1:30 p.m., an upstairs neighbour called 911 to say someone in the downstairs suite had a gun.
鈥淲e cordoned off and contained the area. We also asked a couple of people living in neighbouring homes to temporarily leave their residences just for their safety,鈥� said Sgt. Peter DeVries, North 麻豆传媒映画RCMP spokesman,
North 麻豆传媒映画RCMP has since called in the RCMP鈥檚 Emergency Response Team as well as a crisis negotiator who has made contact with a man in the basement suite.
鈥淏ut we have not yet been able to get him to come out of the house,鈥� DeVries said.
DeVries said police don鈥檛 have any indication there is anyone else in the house with the barricaded man but, they haven鈥檛 been inside to confirm that.
In the meantime, Lynn Valley Road will be closed between the Highway 1 offramp and William Avenue.
鈥淲e are asking people to avoid that area,鈥� DeVries said.
