Residents of Northern British Columbia are enjoying some of the cheapest gas prices in Canada, with one station offering gas at 75.9 cents per litre.Ìý

At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, a fewÌýgas stations in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­were showing prices as low as 125.9 cents per litre. However, prices continued to fall and, as of 4:20 p.m. later that day,ÌýoneÌýgas station was showing 119.9 cents per litreÌý—Ìýthe Super Save at 1317 East 12th Ave. and Clark Drive. As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, however, gas prices in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­hadÌýfallen as low as 115.9 cents per litre.

By March 19,Ìýgas prices had fallen 15 cents to 99.9 cents per litre at the Chevron at 2918 Kingsway and Killarney Street.ÌýAs of Friday, March 20 at 10:15 a.m., four gas stations wereÌýoffering the 99.9 cents per litre deal in Vancouver.Ìý

And while the cheapest gas stationsÌýin Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­have climbed a couple of cents over the weekend, gas prices are extremely low in Prince George.Ìý

As of 10:15 a.m. on Monday, March 23, theÌýCostco at 2555 Range Rd. near Wiebe Road is offering gas at 75.9 cents per litre. After that, three gas stations are offering 77.9 cents per litre, including: the Husky at 1746 Haart HighwayÌýnear Northwood Pulp Mill Road, the Husky at 2511 Range Rd. and BC-16 W and the Tano Fuel at 1040 Whenun Rd. near Sewh Road.Ìý

The UFA at 7308 Alaska Road North and 72nd Street is offering gas for 79.5 cents per litre in Fort St. John, while a number of other stations in Prince George are offering gas at 80.5 cents per litre.Ìý

On March 10,ÌýDan McTeague,Ìýpresident of Canadians for Affordable Energy, formerly ofÌýGasBuddy.com, predicted that gas prices wouldÌýdrop eight to 10 cents in a single day on Wednesday, March 10.Ìý

Gas prices are also falling across the rest of Canada, with many stations selling well below $1 a litre as of March 20. McTeague expects gas prices to drop to 76.9 cents per litre in the Greater Toronto Area, as well.
