A 麻豆传媒映画massage therapist has been banned from practicing until 2050 following three sexual assault convictions involving female patients.

The College of Massage Therapists of B.C. made the decision Aug. 5.

The therapist is Bodhi Jones 鈥 otherwise known to Lower Mainlanders as a singer-songwriter and to TikTok app users as a foe of President Donald Trump.

Jones was sentenced in April 2019, receiving 18 months of house arrest, three years probation was ordered to register as a sex offender.

The college decision said Jones admitted that touched women inappropriately and in a sexual manner in late 2016 and early 2017.

And, Jones admitted to the college he had been convicted of sexual assault in each case.

鈥淭he inquiry committee regarded Mr. Jones鈥 conduct to be fundamentally inconsistent with the duties owed by registrants to patients, to the profession and to the public,鈥 the college said.

Jones requested registration cancellation Feb. 21, 2017, and his resignation was accepted at that time, the Inquiry Committee considered it important to its public protection mandate that there be a formal cancellation of his CMTBC registration by disciplinary order.

The committee was of the view that the lengthy ban protects the public.

After the charges were announced, Jones鈥 social media accounts went silent.
