Evo Car Share is asking its customers not to use its vehicles for non-essentials trips in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The car-share company states that many customers rely on its services for essential trips, such as frontline workers, or for picking up groceries or medications. However, those that don't need to venture out should stay home.
"If you don't need us, please stay home," writes Eric Hopkins President & CEO, BCAA and Evo Car Share. "It’s simply the right thing to do for the health and safety of our community – and that’s what’s important right now."
The company has increased its cleaning and disinfecting protocol, but adds that customers should still bring and use wipes for each essential trips. At the start and end of each trip, they should wipe everything they touch and then throw the wipes in the garbage. That includes steering wheel, door handles, gear shift, seat belt, parking brake, blinker and any buttons.
And, just like at any other time you venture out, avoid putting your hands to your mouth, nose or face before washing your hands with water and soap for at least 20 seconds, to keep yourself and all others safe.
