Vancouver's Katherine Moore repeated as the fastest Canadian woman at Sunday's Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon with a final time of two hours, 48 minutes and 48 seconds.
She finished 26 minutes off the pace of the fastest woman, Ethiopia's Koren Yal, who ran the 42-kilometre distance in 2:22:48. Yal knocked two minutes off her 2010 time, which was good enough for fourth place last year.
Moore, a yoga instructor, was the eighth woman to cross the finish line and was the 63rd fastest overall runner.
In 2010 she ran more than one minute faster, finishing with a time of 2:47.43.
