Potholes have been a pain for drivers travelling through the George Massey Tunnel.
This morning AM730 tweeted that there was a “significant†pothole in the only southbound lane inside the tunnel and advised drivers to slow down.

A tweet later in the morning noted the pothole had forced a lot of cars to the right shoulder at the south end of the tunnel.

Optimist publisher Matt Blair said he saw half a dozen vehicles damaged by a pothole this morning.
DriveBC tweeted that maintenance in the tunnel was underway this morning.

Members in the Ladner’s Landing Facebook group have been talking about potholes in the tunnel in a couple posts the last few days.
“My husband blew a tire on the pothole at 6 a.m. today,†read one Jan. 21 comment. “I went through it shortly after him and thought it was going to happen to me too! It was massive!â€
Another user posted on Tuesday, “That thing was huge! I thought it was gonna rip my tire off when I hit it yesterday....â€
