Celebrated Spaces: Got a favourite place to escape the crowd, take in a view or think about the past? Nominate your special urban nooks and crannies for the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Heritage Foundation’s Places That Matter project. In celebration of Vancouver’s 125th birthday, the VHF wants your help to identify 125 sites that commemorate people, places and events that have shaped the city. Winning places will be marked with a plaque and included in an online mapping project. Nominations will be accepted until March 15 with voting to take place March 16-April 6. Vote online at VancouverHertiageFoundation.org or visit the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Public Library central branch on Feb. 26 for the VHF’s nomination fair. Info: 604-264-9642.
