Two weeks ago, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Giants forward Brendan Gallagher presented the Prostate Cancer Foundation B.C. with a cheque for $7,140.

The Delta-raised, fourth year Giant raised the money during the 2010-11 WHL season through Gally's Goals For Cancer, which he created in honour of his grandfather who died a year ago from prostate cancer.

He will continue the fundraiser this season.

Gallagher donated $20 for every Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Giants victory, raising $700 from 35 wins. The organization chipped in another $100 for every goal Gallagher scored and his 44 goals totalled $4,400. Donations from fans contributed another $2,040.

"Last year's fundraiser for prostate cancer was a huge success," said Gallagher in a statement.

"I am very thankful to the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Giants organization for jumping on board and to everyone who donated and helped raise this much money for such a great cause. I'm looking forward to doing it again this season and hopefully more people will get involved so we can surpass last year's totals."

Gallagher returned to the Giants lineup Oct. 1 against the Kelowna Rockets after he returned from a tryout in Montreal. The Canadiens picked him in the fifth round of the 2010 draft.
