Fill 'er up, Vancouver: Gas prices continue to fall

Gas prices continue to fall in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­and across Canada after gas price analysts advised Vancouverites to hold off on filling up their tanks earlier this week. As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, gas prices in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­had dropped as low as 115.

Gas prices continue to fall in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­and across Canada after gas price analysts advised Vancouverites to hold off on filling up their tanks earlier this week.

As of 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, gas prices in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­had dropped as low as 115.9 cents per litre. The stations include: the Super Save at East 12th Avenue and Clark Drive, the Husky at Grandview Highway North and Lakewood Drive, and the Petro-Canada at East Broadway and Clark Drive.

A number of stations are also selling gas for as cheap as 117.9 cents per litre while others are offering 118.9 cents per lire.

The drop in prices started Wednesday, March 11 with a few gas stations in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­showing prices as low as 125.9 cents per litre.

Gasbuddy.com shares the top ten lowest gas prices in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­right now. The travel navigation app allows users to locate the cheapest gas anywhere in North America.

On March 10, Dan McTeague, president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, formerly of GasBuddy.com, predicted that gas prices would drop eight to 10 cents in a single day on Wednesday. 

Gas prices are also falling across the rest of Canada, with many stations selling well below $1 a litre as of March 11.
