Capilano University is reviewing plans in the event the post-secondary institution has to find an alternative way to deliver courses and programs amid the continuing COVID-19 crisis.

Spokeswoman Linda Munro has confirmed that university officials are meeting to discuss potential alternatives.

A release on the North Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»university’s website notes there have been no reports of novel coronavirus illness among the campus community.

But it was announced yesterday that the University of British Columbia, University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University – the province’s three biggest post-secondary schools – were moving their classes online for the remainder of the term to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

The announcement came following the B.C. government’s direction on Thursday that gatherings of more than 250 people should be cancelled as the pandemic continues.

An announcement on how Capilano University intends to proceed is expected on Monday, March 16. Updates can be found by clicking .
