When the Courier offered up a sneak peek of casino resort in photos last year, that became one the most read stories at vancourier.com for 2017.
After all, the entertainment complex was 10 years in the making, following more than a decade of negotiations, public consultations and development research. And when Parq opened its doors Sept. 29, 2017, the interest was immense. The property was described as offering the amenities of a Las Vegas casino resort, but with a West Coast twist, which translated to lots of natural light and no cigarette smoke.
Parq Vancouver, the largest private development in the province, features two luxury hotels with more than 517 rooms, eight restaurants and lounges, a 30,000-square-foot rooftop park and a casino that features 600 slot machines, 74 table games, poker rooms and 11 VIP salons designed for private gaming.
In celebration of the one-year anniversary, Parq is holding the contest with a grand prize including a luxury two night stay at , an indulgent couple's massage at , VIP suite tickets to the Justin Timberlake show Nov. 9 at Rogers Arena — with personal butler service — a three course dinner at Honey Salt, $100 casino credit and more.
In order to enter the Passport To Play contest, participants, who must be 19 or older, have to pick-up a passport from the Player’s Club and then collect a minimum of five stamps with purchase from participating locations across the resort, including lounges, restaurants and the Glamoury located within Spa by JW.
To make the contest even more interesting to play, the participating businesses are hosting promotions including a free dessert with entre purchase at Honey Salt, a free flight of beer with an entree purchase at B.C. Kitchen, complimentary bubble tea with the purchase of a pastry at MRKT East, a free signature cocktail with an entrée purchase at D/6 Bar and Lounge, a complimentary mac n’ cheese waffle with the purchase of any entrée at Victor — you need to try these waffles, and 50 per cent off featured wine, well highballs or pints of Canadian beer at the Lotus Whiskey Tea Lounge or Centre Bar.
As well, passport holders will receive 50 per cent off a makeup touch-up with the purchase of a blow-dry at the Glamoury, a complimentary treatment enhancement when booking any spa treatment (50 minutes or longer) and $10 free play on a table or slots. Ìý
To be eligible, participants must be 19 or older and collect at least five of 11 stamps — only one stamp can be collected from each location.
Draws will be made from all eligible passports received at the ballot box between Sept. 29 and the close of the ballot box Oct. 31, 2018.
