If you’re still in the “new year, new me” phase then you might want to head on down to Vancouver’s biggest health and lifestyle showcase this weekend.

For the 28th year, the Wellness Show will give Vancouverites a chance to explore new approaches to nutrition, fitness and physical and emotional well-being.

The long-running event connects like-minded businesses and leaders in wellness, with the overall goal of helping people to “achieve their most holistic, healthiest selves.”

The two-day event at 鶹ýӳConvention Centre, from Feb. 1 to 2, boasts more than 250 exhibitors, over 100 speakers, and cooking and fitness demonstrations on a range of stages.

Those looking to get motivated with a new fitness regimen can check out the Zen Fitness Stage and try out some fun new workouts, including POUND, a full-body cardio jam session, energy medicine and group singing. You can also learn how to optimize your body, mind and spirit in 30 minutes a day.

Meanwhile, the cooking stage offers a chance to learn how to make a diverse mix of dishes with a variety of experienced celebrity chefs and personalities. There’s everything from how to make miso with chef Steve Kuan, the owner of Asian-fusion restaurant Torafuku, to cooking shrimp ceviche with Katie Moody and Jeremy Mitchell, the owners of Mexican restaurant Cantina Norte, and making cultured coconut yogurt with health coaches Zuzana Fajkusova and Nikki Lefler.

There will also be seminars on how to stay healthy in day-to-day life, including discussions on burnout syndrome, how to thrive through life’s ups and downs, and how to manage stress naturally.

The show runs Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
