The move is a shift away from the tourist market, which the company heavily targeted at the time of its launch in May, 2017. From now until Oct. 31, B.C. residents can purchase a , which entitles locals sizable savings on tickets for the remainder of its 2019 season.
B.C. residents can now book four one-way trips for $299 on the premium service, representing a 33 per cent saving, and gain an additional 50 per cent off all further adult bookings in Royal and Premium Class for the remainder of the year. Recipients will also gain the first offer of a season pass for 2020.
Julian Wright, general manager of V2V Vacations, says the move was taken in response to customer demand.
“We received a large amount of feedback through our guests from British Columbia, that our premium service is the convenient and comfortable connection between 鶹ýӳand Victoria that they have been wishing for, however they want a cost effective way to take advantage of the trip on a regular basis,” Wright said in a news release. “It inspired us to develop the Salish Pass, exclusively for B.C. residents to benefit from our daily service.”
V2V is the only cruise boat that connects the centre of 鶹ýӳand Victoria’s historic Inner Harbour. A travel time of less than three hours and thirty minutes aboard the 242-seat V2V Empress, offers a comfortable alternative to the car ferry that operates from outside both cities.
