South Granville will be going all out this week to celebrate all things blueberry.
The BC Blueberry Council has teamed up with the South Granville Business Improvement Association for Go Blue on South Granville, a 10-day event running July 18 to 28 celebrating the start if the fresh local blueberry season.
For the first time ever, a number of South Granville restaurants will be featuring local blueberries in both sweet and savoury offerings, as well as beverages. Additionally, Granville between Fifth and 16th Avenues, will be transformed with hues of blue as various retailers celebrate blueberries in their own ways with special promotions, sales, events and decorations.

Planned events include a blueberry jam at Ouisi Bistro (July 19, 7:30-10:30 p.m.), a blueberry beer tasting at Jak鈥檚 Liquor (July 26, 4-7 p.m.), a gift basket raffle at Meinhardt (July 18-28) and blueberry hair dying at Suki鈥檚 (July 18-28).
