SHOP TALK: Icebreaker TouchLabs expand to North Shore

Icebreaker, the New Zealand company that pioneered the merino wool adventure apparel category, announces it will open a new TouchLab store on Vancouvers North Shore in September of this year.

Icebreaker, the New Zealand company that pioneered the merino wool adventure apparel category, announces it will open a new TouchLab store on Vancouvers North Shore in September of this year.This is the second Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­TouchLab; the first, located in the Kitsilano neighborhood, opened in March 2011. Icebreakers new 1,700-square-foot TouchLab will be located in The Village at Park Royal in West Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­(825 Main) near Lululemon, Salomon, Atmosphere and Whole Foods.

Vancouverites have been such great supporters of Icebreaker, and we think the North Shore is an ideal fit for our second store. It attracts fit, healthy shoppers who love taking advantage of Vancouvers mild climate which lets you play outside year-round and who value natural fibres and sustainability, said Hazel Doocey, general manager of retail at Icebreaker.

The Park Royal Village TouchLab store will featureIcebreakers complete line of pure merino wool apparel, including its Outdoor, Running, Travel, Kids, Underwear and City collections and Socks andAccessories, all made from handpicked merino wool born in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. ATactile Gallery will have garments that explain the functional benefits of Icebreaker merino it is soft, non-itch, odour-resistant, highly breathable, and known for being so soft that people often dont even realize its wool. Merino also regulatestemperatures, which means it warms in the cold and cools in the heat.
