Redfish Kids Clothing has announced the opening of its first flagship store at 851 Hornby. Locally made in Vancouver, Redfish Kids Clothing was co-founded by Lorraine Kitsos and Kristy Brinkley in 2005 and has previously only been available online and in select boutiques worldwide. Quickly gaining popularity, the playful and versatile line has engaged an almost cult-like following of loyal supporters and even had a starring role in Hollywood when its signature black and white Swing Dress was featured in the 2010 hit movie Eat Pray Love. More recently leading lady Salma Hayek and daughter Valentina were snapped in Venice with Valentina looking lovely in a pretty pink Redfish Butterfly Dress. Designer Kitsos says, Our designs are inspired by the street fashions of cities like Hong Kong, Paris, Tokyo and Milan, adding the strong patterns, expressive colours and crisp architectural lines are easily layered and worn together to encourage a sense of individuality and playfulness. To celebrate its grand opening, Redfish welcomes kids and their families to the new store on June 2 and 3 for fun-filled days of storytelling and goodies.
