Occupants: Kendall Harris: reporter for The Express on ShawTV, wine expert certified by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and founder of Wine2Three, and my little dog Chloe!
Major selling feature: With full modesty, Id have to say its how great it looks! I spent a lot of time (and money) choosing designer paint colors and adding architectural details like framing around the windows and doors. I also just renovated my bathroom and it sparkles like a little jewel!
First thing I changed: I tore up the old white carpets to lay dark laminate flooring. What a difference!
Features I brag about: The fact that its a corner suite spacious, quiet and bright!
That one conversation piece: The beautiful silk rug in my living room. I get a lot of comments on it and it really ties the room together. (Chloe likes it, too!)
The décor: I call my style cozy contemporary. I want it to look modern and elegant, but still warm and inviting, like you could curl up on the couch and watch a movie, which I often do.
Downsides: I work downtown and many of my Wine2Three tastings and courses take place there. Although Mount Pleasant isnt far, Id really like to cut down on my commute!
Neighborhood haunts: Sebs on Broadway (amazing brunch!) and The Whip are two of my faves, not to mention the countless wonderful cafés on Main Street.
Compared to my last place... Well, I lived in a series of tiny, windowless cabins on cruise ships for years before buying this apartment, so theres really no comparison!
Most recent home purchase: The vanity in my new bathroom: dark mahogany and bright white. I feel happy just looking at it!
Favourite home activities: Opening a great bottle of wine and cooking delicious food to share with guests! Entertaining at home is such a pleasure when you love where you live!
