There’s a new breakfast joint coming to Metro Vancouver, and it’s one with a long history in Montreal and locations around the world.

Eggspectation will launch their first B.C. location later this year in Richmond at the Accent Inn’s 鶹ýӳAirport Hotel.

Taking over the vacated IHOP location on the hotel site, Eggspectation is making their first foray into Western Canada.

The chain began in 1993 in downtown Montreal, and they currently operate in Quebec and Ontario, a handful of U.S. cities, India, Qatar, and Dubai.

Eggspectation is probably best known for their breakfasts and brunches, featuring Montreal classics like poutine, bagels, smoked meat, and more. They also have an array of Bennies, chicken and waffles, s’mores french toast, thick pancakes, loaded omelettes, savoury and sweet crepes, salads, sandwiches, and burgers on their daytime menu, which includes a juice bar, cocktails, coffee drinks, kids choices, and more.

But it’s not just for brunch–Eggspectation’s evening menu includes a “Brunch for Dinner” section, along with many carry over items like salads, burgers, and sandwiches, as well as a ton of pasta dishes, flatbreads and entrees (lots of steak!). Honestly, the menus are pretty epic.

Eggpectation restaurants tend to be quite popular, drawing lines of loyalists and those curious to see if the hype is real.

Currently the Richmond location is under renovation to be transformed into Eggspectation, and the hotel tells 鶹ýӳ they are hoping to open sometime between late July and early August.

Eggspectation is located at the Accent Inn 鶹ýӳAirport Hotel at 10551 St Edwards Drive in Richmond.
