The neon will be lit and the shakes crowned with whipped cream once again, as Moderne Burger finally opens the doors to their revamped ‘Burgerette’ concept in a fresh new location.
Last spring, the wrecking ball sounded its warning bell for a group of restaurants in the 2500 block of West Broadway. Among them was Moderne Burger, the retro-styled diner known for their epic burgers and milkshakes.
Soon after, the burger joint revealed plans to move into a new location on West Broadway, and though they’d hoped to be welcoming customers last summer, it’s taken some additional time. But Friday, March 22 is when they’ll open the doors.
Fortunately,as Moderne Burger revealed just shy of a year ago, the restaurant had been planning a spin-off downscaled project anyhow, so what they did was save everything from the original Moderne Burger operation (that ran an impressive 17 years) and continued to develop their Burgerette project.
“It will have the look and feel of Moderne Burger and offer your favourite award winning burgers and fries and shakes only slightly smaller,” they promised.
Follow on Instagram to keep tabs on their progress as March 22 approaches, and get ready for those burgers.
Moderne Burger’s Burgerette is located at 865 West Broadway in Vancouver.
