The Fair at the PNE kicks off Aug. 17 and, like most people, you’re probably looking for ways to save a few bucks that can be better put towards the purchase of foot-long French fries or pickle-flavoured cotton candy. Well, look no further.
Here’s a list of ways fairgoers can save on admission and ride passes.
Heroes’ Weekend
Aug. 17 & 18
11 a.m. to late
First responders and one guest will receive free gate admission. This promotion is open to current and retired police, paramedics, firefighters and military to celebrate the heroes who support PNE events all year long. First responders must present a valid service card at the desk, but their guest does not.
Seniors Day
Aug. 22
11 a.m. to late
Seniors 65 and older receive free gate admission.
Out at the Fair
Aug. 29
11 a.m. to late
Purchase from the 鶹ýӳPride Society and wear them to get into the fair for free. All proceeds benefit the 鶹ýӳPride Society.
Fair Fridays
Aug. 23 & 30
Take transit to the fair on Fridays and receive two for one admission for adults, ages 14 and older, with a valid Compass Card and transit tickets.
PNE app kickoff weekend
Aug. 17 & 18
11 a.m. to late
Download the PNE app and you’ll receive a $2 admission coupon within the “Tickets and Promotions” tab.
Library Member Day
Show any B.C. library card and photo ID to receive $6 gate admission.
After Dark fair gate pass
Nightly after 9 p.m.
Purchase a gate pass for just $6. Only available at on-site ticket booths after 9 p.m.

Save on gate and ride passes at pne.ca.
Twilight fair ride passes
Tuesdays and Thursdays after 5 p.m.
Purchase a ride pass for $30 and save $16. Only available onsite and after 5 p.m.
Wild Ride Wednesdays
Aug. 21 & 28
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Purchase two ride passes for the price of one. Only available onsite on the day of the promotion and does not apply to ride coupons or complimentary passes.
