Here are the car shows to check out on the North Shore this summer

Summer is here, and the forecast for North Shore auto enthusiasts is for another hot season of car shows featuring everything from antique classics to modern masterpieces.

Here are the events that you’ll want to check out this year:

Shipbuilders Square Car Show: Members of the Greater Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Motorsport Society host this annual Canada Day long weekend event on the North Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­waterfront near Lonsdale Quay. Sunday, July 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Shipbuilders Square.

B.C. Corvette Club: The BCCC Waterfront Car Show will feature multiple iterations of the famous Chevy muscle car. Sunday, July 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at North Vancouver’s Waterfront Park.

Bowen Island Classic Motor Show: Second annual show includes vehicles from 1978 or older as well as beer, wine, food and live music. Saturday, July 21, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1441 Adams Rd., Bowen Island.

Cruise the Shore: A fundraiser for the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation. Saturday, July 21, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ambleside Park, West Vancouver. 

Lower Mainland VEGA Club Show and Shine: The largest gathering of Vega cars on the West Coast. Sunday, Aug. 12, noon to 4 p.m. at Waterfront Park, North Vancouver.

Jaguar-MG Heritage Classic: The longest-running Jaguar-MG car show in North America. Saturday, Aug. 18, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Waterfront Park in North Vancouver.

BMW Car Club of BC Concours and Heritage Celebration: An annual event to celebrate more than 100 years of BMW history. Sunday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Waterfront Park, North Vancouver. 

All Japanese Classic Auto, Truck & Bike Show: Anything and everything that is Japanese. Sunday, Aug. 26, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Waterfront Park, North Vancouver.
