The newest Trevor Linden fitness centre, named Club16, will open on April 16 at #50-1055 Canada Place (Convention Centre West).Open seven days a week, the facility will offer state-of-the-art fitness equipment with drop-in rates as low as $10. Additional services will include bicycle rentals and tanning beds.
All India Restaurant at 1188 Davie has changed its name to Judges Indian Cuisine. Current dine-in menu to stay the same and they will continue to offer delivery service from 5pm to 10pm daily.
There is a new waterfront eatery at the West Convention Centre serving various vegetarian and curry dishes, wraps, etc.: Anatolia Express Restaurant, Unit 40 1055 Canada Place.
The Q4 Group will be taking over the Lumiere/DB Bistro space for their next project a wine bar.
The Glowbal Group will be opening up its eighth eatery, this time on Hornby Street an Italian café.
Caffe Artigiano just opened a new location in the Opus Hotel.
There is a great event coming to Grouse Mountain next week. Showdown Over the City and Quiksilver Pro are featuring pro snowboarders from all over on their specialty built slopestyle course. Celebrations are from March 23-24 and the cost for spectators is included in your general admission ticket. For people wanting to go skiing and snowboarding at Grouse that day, the mountain is still open. Just one run (the Cut) is closed for the festival.

On April 25, IKEAs new 334,000 square foot (slightly larger than the store in Coquitlam) Richmond store will open, offering over 9,000 products and showcasing 51 inspirational room settings. Located on Jacombs Road, adjacent to the current location (which closes April 22), the new IKEA will include a 600+ seat restaurant, over 1,400 parking spaces and 100 bicycle racks. As the longest standing IKEA store in Canada, IKEA Richmond is inviting the public to the grand opening on April 25 starting at 7 a.m. which will feature fun family entertainment and great giveaways
. The Miniature Railway at Stanley Park will be running on and off during the coming months, regardless of weather. Charges from are $6.25, youth and senior $4.46 and children under 12 $3.
