Road trip! Okanagan chef Matthew Batey at Mission Hill Family Estate has invited Blue Water Cafes Frank Pabst and CinCins Todd Howard up from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to prepare a special, multi-course supper in the winerys elegant Chagall Room on Friday, May 6 at 6:30pm. The three chefs fare will be expertly paired with a selection of wines from Mission Hills portfolio. Tickets are $165 plus taxes (reception and six-course dinner). Call 250-768-6483 to reserve.

If the Canucks make it into Round 2 of the playoffs (I write this hours before Tuesdays Game 7 nail-biter against Chicago), take your white towels to Gastowns Boneta restaurant to cheer them on. The award-winning restaurant long resisted the installation of a large, flat screen television for Canuck watching, but relented with the promise to give it away to whichever guest brings in the most friends during Vancouvers playoff run (1 West Cordova, 604-684-1844, Boneta.ca).

A reminder to clear your schedules on Saturday, May 7 and bring yourself (and your kids, if you got em) down to False Creeks Fishermans Wharf for the 5th Annual Spot Prawn Festival. The event, which will see many of Vancouvers top chefs in attendance and an abundance of delicious spot prawns, starts at 11am and runs until 3pm. Further details at ChefsTableSociety.com.
