Over 35 kilometres of multi-use hiking and biking trails are already in place at Predator Ridge. Now you can also find acres of parks space, plus tennis and pickleball courts and a third outdoor yoga platform at The Commonage.

The neighbourhood consists of 74 home sites and homes, about half of which are already built. Starting at $679,000, they include semi-detached and single-family homes, all of which feature modern ranch-style architecture that blends in beautifully with the landscape, offering owners exceptional golf course and valley views.

Also available are the Affinity Homes. The best new address at Predator Ridge, located across from the first hole of the Ridge course, these 10 homes offer exceptional fairway living while being just steps from the resort centre.

The Commonage takes its name from the vast area of open grazing land here that has been shared by ranchers since the 1800s.

In keeping with that theme, Predator Ridge has opened up 27 acres of park space – much of it still as nature intended – as part of The Commonage.

Serving as the social heart of the new neighbourhood, Commons Park stretches out to 3.5 acres. Nestled into a hillside terrace, the park is designed to be a place of gathering, and offers sweeping views across the emerald fairways and mountain vistas.

Venture beyond the park and you’ll find 12.5 km of world-class biking trails built and maintained by Predator Ridge.

All the trails offer moderate downhill biking with gradual climbs in a forested setting. The payoffs are incredible views of Okanagan Lake, making Predator Ridge a perfect place to ride and appreciate nature.

Those looking for more of a challenge will appreciate the newly opened Granite Trail, a 4.1-km ride carved into the hillside by acclaimed local trail builder Cam Sorensen that has it all: a fast-flowing descent, smooth rock slabs, snappy berms, punchy climbs and views worth packing a picnic for to fully enjoy them.

Predator Ridge’s bike trails also include a 2.5-km connector that joins up with another 40 km of trails in nearby Ellison Provincial Park.

And soon, Predator Ridge will be just a few kilometres from the new Okanagan Rail Trail.

Opening this summer on a former rail bed, the trail will run 48.5 km from Vernon to Kelowna – 24 km of it along lakefront, creeks and other unique environments.

Once the route is complete, Predator Ridge will offer shuttles to the trail, which is also intended to join up with efforts already underway elsewhere in the region that could one day see the trail run from the Shuswap all the way south to Osoyoos and the U.S. border.

Even if you or your guests don’t own bikes – or don’t want to travel with them – you can rent one from the Predator Ridge Fitness Centre, which stocks hard-tail mountain bikes, fitness bikes, cruisers, kids’ bikes and pedal-assist models.

But if you prefer two feet to two wheels, there is still plenty of ground to cover.

Predator Ridge offers over 35 km of well-maintained, multi-use trails with picnic areas, scenic vistas, an abundance of natural beauty and many species of plants and wildlife.

Boasting a mix of surfaces, including paved, crushed gravel and natural earth, the trails are pet-friendly, and regular guided hikes are organized through Fitness Centre. In the wintertime, the trails are ideal for snowshoeing.

They’re also used for the popular Yoga, Hike and Wine Nights, which see residents enjoy a 30-minute hike to a yoga platform, where they enjoy a mindful stretch, before a quick jaunt back to the Fitness Centre patio for a glass of wine.

Speaking of wine, The Commonage is just 20 minutes from the Scenic Sip: a group of eight world-class wineries located between Vernon and Kelowna, including Ex Nihilo, Gray Monk and Arrowleaf Cellars. If you don’t feel like driving, tours can be booked through Predator Ridge.

And if, after all your adventuring, you don’t feel like going out again, the resort boasts a food and liquor market of its own.
